People and Culture Advisor role based in northern Sydney salary up to $105k plus super

We're partnering with a well-established organisation in the education sector to recruit a People & Culture Advisor to join a collaborative and high‑performing P&C team.
This role offers exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with a genuine opportunity to develop strong advisory capability while working closely with leaders and stakeholders in a complex, fast‑paced environment.

This role is full time in the office with a salary up to $105k plus super.

Your new role

Reporting into a senior People & Culture leadership team, you will provide end‑to‑end generalist HR support across a diverse workforce. The role balances operational delivery with advisory support, making it ideal for someone looking to step up or consolidate at Advisor level.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing advice and support to leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances and workplace issues
  • Supporting end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, reference checking and onboarding
  • Managing employment lifecycle changes (e.g. full‑time to part‑time, casual to fixed‑term, internal movements)
  • Interpreting awards, policies and industrial instruments in a complex environment
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems data
  • Contributing to HR projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with Experience with Go1 and UKG would be preferrable
  • Acting as a trusted P&C partner who balances risk, compliance and practical outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
  • Around 3+ years' experience in a generalist People & Culture / HR role
  • Exposure to employee relations and stakeholder coaching
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and awards
  • Experience supporting recruitment and employment lifecycle activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail in a fast‑moving, high‑volume environment
  • Confidence using HR
  • Experience within education, health, not‑for‑profit or similarly regulated environments will be highly regarded, though not essential.
